A writer and a lecturer, Dr. (Mrs.) Mercy Badu is a senior lecturer at the department of chemistry, KNUST, Ghana. She started her pursuit in academia in 2002 with an undergraduate in Chemistry from KNUST. She then went on to further her research at the Forestry Research Institute of Ghana, CSIR and worked in the lab for a few years before coming back to the classroom to further develop her qualifications. She has since remained as a lecturer in KNUST

Dr. Mercy Badu’s contributions to research and her undying love to develop her knowledge base has won her many grants and fellowships including the L’Oréal UNESCO for Women in Science Regional Fellowship in 2013
