Master Dennis Gabianu, a past pupil of the University of Ghana Basic School has won a prize for the best performance in the 2017 Integrated Science at the Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) held in June, 2017.

Master Gabianu was among the 30 awardees honoured by the State as part of activities marking Ghana’s 61st Independence anniversary. The President, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, presented Master Gabianu with his award at the ceremony.   He is currently enrolled at the Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High, Legon as a science student.

In another development, Miss Nkunim Amo Mensah, a former pupil of the University of Ghana Basic School also made the second highest national raw score at 2016BECE.  Miss Amo Mensah is currently enrolled at the Wesley Girls’ High School reading Science.

In announcing these sterling achievements, management of the University of Ghana Basic School expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor, members of the University community, parents and guardians for their support in the activities of the School.

Hearty congratulations to Nkunim and Dennis for making the University of Ghana and University of Ghana Basic School proud.  We wish you the very best in your studies.
