Simon Bowman (2019)

In his work, Bowman uses analogue photography to make abstract images on x-ray films. In analogue photography, the photographic information stored on the films is developed into prints in the dark room. His practice, however, is a point of intervention. Bowman does not capture images on the film, instead he manipulates it with colours from photographic chemicals, to produce negatives that he then prints. These are the final products.
