MISE is a maths education program which seeks to empower young mathematicians to make the most of their love of the subject and all the opportunities that comes along with it. In addition to its education program, MISE trains young Ghanaians to represent the country in the international maths olympiad.
We met up with the founder Joel Dogoe to tell us more about his motivations, challenges, success stories of his students and plans for the future. He was also kind enough to explain mathematically the preference people had for enjoying one of Ghana’s favourite meals, waakye. Watch and enjoy
